Hawaii Energy has teamed up with six Punahou seniors to retrofit the Kaimuki-Waialae YMCA. The goal is to help the YMCA reduce its electric bill and create an environmental and technological example for our youth. Hawaii Energy “bartered” with the team from Punahou’s Student Global Leadership Institute to help spread the word about the 3 CFL Challenge and in return Hawaii Energy will help the students with the YMCA.
For every 1,000 likes Hawaii Energy gets from now until May 31st, the students will receive one energy-efficient item for the YMCA. Items include energy-saving refrigerators, lighting and energy monitors. The students want 8 items! That’s just 8,000 likes. Help them today!
